Abstract Harmonic Analysis, or Harmonic Analysis on Groups, is a discipline rooted in the classic theme of spectral analysis and synthesis of functions that identifies and exploits the relevance of the underlying group structure that pervades the whole theory through representations and measures. Abstract Harmonic Analysis has grown a strong relationship with other neighboring disciplines such as Functional Analysis, Representation Theory or Group Theory.
Due to this mixed character, experts in Abstract Harmonic Analysis can often be found scattered among Research Groups with different flavors. The purpose of this event is to gather a group of researchers with an interest in abstract Harmonic Analysis around three speakers with experience in this field.
The Days will consist of 5 lectures with time to discuss on problems and perspectives in Abstract Harmonic Analysis.
Invited speakers:
- Oscar Blasco, Universidad de Valencia (Spain).
- Antoine Derighetti, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland).
- José Extremera, Universidad de Granada (Spain).
- Eberhard Kaniuth, Universität Padderborn (Germany).
This event has been supported by Spanish Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad, through Research Project: MTM2011-23118, and by Instituto
Universitario
de Matemáticas y Aplicaciones de Castellón (IMAC).
